Introducing the Tudor Northflag Dual Time Zone Return Collection

Tudor's Northflag watch has always been distinctive. Originally launched at Baselworld in 2015, it was Tudor's first timepiece to feature a domestically produced movement. Initially offered only in two styles—steel or leather—it was discontinued in 2021. Now, the Northflag (now a single word) makes a grand return, upgraded from the 2015 model with the addition of a second time zone display with a 24-hour hand.
The new Northflag luxury replica watches (model 9140G1A0U) features a 40mm case and integrated bracelet crafted from 316L stainless steel. The case thickness is 12.7mm, and the lug spacing is 48.8mm. Compared to the original Northflag watch (40 x 13.3 x 50 mm), the new model is more compact and better suited for those with smaller wrists. It is water-resistant to 100 meters, features a domed sapphire crystal, and has a transparent case back.
Through the transparent case back, you can see the Tudor MT5652-U automatic movement. This is a 4Hz Master Chronometer certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), with an official daily accuracy of -0 to +5 seconds. Notably, this movement is the same one used in the Pelagos FXD GMT watch, which features a second time zone function. Both the date and GMT functions can be set via the crown. Like its predecessor, the second-generation Northflag watch features a black dial with minimalist lettering accented in yellow (a first for Tudor). The seconds and 24-hour hands are yellow, as are the hour markers on the bezel and the "Northflag" lettering on the dial. The date display is located in a beveled window at 3 o'clock, displaying white text on a black background. The hands and hour markers are coated with blue Grade A Super-Luminova luminous material.

On a Tuesday morning before the opening of Geneva Watch Days, the feeling was quite pleasant. The first-generation Northflag watch has always been highly sought after, captivating with its unique design, in-house movement, and distinctive charm. The new watch is thinner and more refined than its predecessor, but it forgoes the (very cool) power reserve indicator, replacing it with a fourth hand and a 24-hour bezel.
For an adventure-themed watch, I think the second time zone function might be a stronger selling point than the power reserve, especially considering its automatic movement and the evolving tastes of Tudor's core customer base. Like the first generation, I believe this new model will be a connoisseur's choice, a strong but perhaps less common option outside the Black Bay collection.
Considering I've only seen these photos so far, I really like the watch. The size has been significantly improved, and the design retains most of the highlights of the North Flag series. While I feel the first generation lacked the visual clarity of this new watch, the added second time zone function should open up some market opportunities, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing it in person soon.
